Am I Boring You?
You know how sometimes you’ll be at a social function and you’ll get talking to someone and they’ll drone on and on endlessly about whatever they like talking about.
It might be moaning about their Spouse, their work or telling you about their latest model plane. And everytime you try to change the subject, they just dismiss what you have to say and continue their droning.
Well, I’m a little concerned that I might be that droning bore.
Since I started the stress series, there have been far less comments and less questions. I’m not sure if that’s because you’re bored of the topic, because you don’t understand what I mean, because people are busy during with holidays etc or for some other reason.
So I was thinking maybe I should work quietly on the Stress series by myself and let you know when it’s finshed?
Let me know what you think by taking the poll below and/or commenting below.

I love to read about how other people handle stress. It’s so much easier said and read than done though, at least for me.
Actually we have so much stress right now – Iowa was hit with record breaking floods. I currently have families living with me and even tho not hit by the flood, my job was taken away for a few days because of damage to one of the local hospitals here because I am directly attached to their mainframe to do my job at one of the local doctor’s offices. Didn’t get paid for being away from work either. Plus, my home expenses have gone up tremendously with 5 others living with me – I am single. They have helped as much as they can, but, they don’t have homes to go back to – - as you can see money is a main issue on top of the flooding. Our city is devastated and it’ll probably take years to get back to normal.
Stress is internally conceived. After all, no one is beating you over the head with a 2 x 4, are they? If it feels like it, it is you who doing the beating., no one else! Stress is something that we must keep in check otherwise it can and will destroy us if we let it.
Rob!!!
Keep up the good work man. I think it is because you are in the middle of a PROCESS that people are reading, taking it on board and waiting for the next stage. I liked the writing things down idea by the way. It makes you look at things more analytically.
Pleases please please don’t stop. I look forward to hearing and reading your work now more than ever!
Hi Rob
I’ve been busy doing lots of recovery work, and off again on my travels, both here in the UK, Europe and the USA, so although I get to read emails, i seldom have time, apart from now to reply to posts
As you already know, I have my take on stress and how to minimise it, but am always open to new ways, such as yours
See you when the summer ends, or perhaps begins
Steve
Hi Rob, In no way at all am i bored with your work. I love it.
I have been busy with my studies and it’s that time of the year again where i have to go out on placement and do 12 hours a day of unpaid work and then go to my real job, so…no time to sit at my beloved computer *frowns*. Keep up the good work. I read all your mail and think it’s great stuff.
Love it – just waiting for the next installment – all makes sense to me so far.
