I hear from some people in the comments and some people email me to tell me how something has made a difference in their life, but there are many Readers that I never interact with. Recently talking about stress management training I made the point that it doesn’t matter how hard it seems, you can’t live a happy life without taking the time to develop your ability to deal with stress. You just don’t have the choice.

After reading the comments on meditation and stress I saw that I needed to make a slight clarification. All the comments showed that people were linking up the dots and coming to this conclusion themselves, but I wanted to add a little emphasis so no-one is in any doubt as to what is needed to overcome stress. I often wish that I was blessed with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately. Unfortunately my mind jumps around much too quickly for my mouth to keep up.
Likewise when I start to write just a short response, my mind jumps in with more questions and more gaps in what I have written and so eventually a couple of lines turns into a page. I was starting to reply to Ruth’s comments on the Problem of Living Up to Our Ideals when I realised that I should make this into a post of it’s own.
